Born into slavery and freed as a boy after the Civil War, Nat Love (pronounced "Nate") soon found fame as a talented cowboy in Arizona, Texas, and throughout the West.  His autobiography The Life and Adventures of Nat Love (1907) serves as a vital counter to the myth that the "Old West" is the sole domain of white men and highlights the significant reality of African American involvement in American Western culture.

Snow Deep Designs honors Nat Love with this design for the celebration of  Black History month in 2025.
